Ms. Dylcia Lake,Operations Manager & Personnel Affairs

Dylcia Lake
Managing Director

In 1994 Ms. Lake joined Ogden Aviation Services as an administrative assistant under the Management of Mr. Peter Blackman and Mrs. Milva Hoeve.

It is in this position that she gained her first knowledge and understanding of the Airline and Handling industry and the related billing process. During this period that she was an administrative assistant, she was also able to acquire a little bit of sales experience.

Seeing that her attraction was more towards the passenger handling sector of the industry; in 1995 she made the decision to transfer to this department

Ms. Lake competitive and aggressive nature, often time drove her to take many initiatives and challenges in this department, even though she was not functioning in a supervisory position. A good example of this is her specialization of BWIA ticket sales. A service that she specialized in her own initiative through literature that was provided to her by BWIA station Manager in St. Maarten.

Ms. Lake has passenger handling experience with the following airlines: BWIA, Sky Jet, American International, Pluna Airlines, Sun Country, Lapa, Allegro, Helen Air, Sky Service, Iceland Air, TAM Airlines, West Jet, Air Canada and so many more too numerous to mention. She has knowledge of the policies and procedures for each and every one of those Airlines.

In 1998 there was a position for a Lead Agent. She applied for, and was appointed to this position. In this position she was finally able to demonstrate her leadership skills. In this position her main responsibilities were ensuring customer satisfaction, on time performance for all airlines and customer and employee safety at all times.

As the company began to expand its client base with new clients such as Liat, Caribbean Star and Caribbean Sun, she was once again promoted to Head Lead Agent. A position that once again, increased her responsibilities and span of control.

In January 2005, Ms. Lake was promoted to Manager of Passenger Handling. This position almost came naturally to Ms. Lake because of the experience that she was able to attain during the previous positions that she held. For her constant acquisition of changes and developments in the world in general and the airline industry in particular are very important tools in being able to be a productive and effective Manager. Customer service and satisfaction is something that weighs very heavy in her management style.

And this will once again become very evident in Juliana Airport Handlers N.V.
